The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2004.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Federal Population and Civil Protection Act of 4 October 2002 and the related Ordinance of 5 December 2003. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the preparation and implementations of measures to : i) protect the population; ii) take care of protection seekers; iii) protect cultural heritage. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Official duty (II); Mobilizing for civil protection missions (III); Material (IV); Shelters and civil defence facilities (V); Substitute contributions (VI); Final provisions (VII).
