The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 1999.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Federal Animal Disease Act of 1 July 1966 and the Law on agriculture of 7 June 1998. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the health of animals. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Organs of the animal health police (I); Disease control measures (II); Compensation (III); Promotion of animal health (IV); Transport of, trade in and events with animals (V); Disposal of animal waste (VI); Final provisions (VII).
