Abstract This Government Ordinance, which is composed of 21 articles and four Annexes, lays down: requirements for vegetable seed to be satisfied for their marketing; requirements on the characteristics and quality of vegetable seed; requirements for the production of vegetable seed; conditions of marketing of vegetable seed; conditions of importation of vegetable seed from countries which are not European Union member states; details on the packaging and labeling of vegetable seed; the manner and extent of control of vegetable seed placed on the market. This Ordinance does not apply to vegetable seed intended for export to third countries.
