Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2015.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Introductory Law of 8 July 1998 relating to the Federal legislation on civil protection. Article 1 establishes that the Justice and Security Office is responsible for the correct and efficient implementation as far as the afore-mentioned Law is concerned, and the Civil Protection and Army Office is competent as far as the present Ordinance is concerned. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Competence (1); Organization (2); Tasks (3); Protection service (4); Convocation and operation (5); Vocational training (6); Standard equipment (7); Financing and proceedings (8); Transitional and final provisions (9).
