A producer who undertakes to produce in an ecologically responsible manner in accordance with the EC Regulation shall register with the Plant Production Control Centre (sect. 1). The District offices for Rural Activities are appointed as the authority to supervise organic production (sect. 2). Comittees for the control of organic production shall be attached to such Offices. Section 3 provides more in detail for the supervision by inspectors of the Plant Production Control Centre. The remaining provisions of the Order deal with matters relative to control of production such as the notification of production (sect. 4), approval (sect. 5), registration of organic production (sect. 8), control over training (sect. 14), etc. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry may issue further directives relative to organic production.
