Abstract This Order, adopted by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, lays down rules for the typing of Salmonella isolates from food business operators' self-control samples. It applies to self-control samples from food business operators that participate in a production step after primary production. Typing refers to the determination of the bacterium's serotype. A food business operator that detects Salmonella in a self-control sample shall ensure that, within one week after the analysis is completed, an isolate of the sample is submitted for typing to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration's laboratory in Ringsted.
