Abstract

This Order establishes that the objects of aquaculture shall be considered species, types and crosses of lines of aquaculture species. Pedigree aquaculture species shall be used for: (a) selection breeding activities aimed at ensuring economically valuable characteristics of aquaculture species (high productivity, resistance to adverse environmental factors and diseases); and (b) the creation of productive pedigree stocks (breeding flocks and broodstocks) destined for a specific region, province, district and not intended for replenishment of natural populations of aquatic biological resources. Use of pedigree aquaculture facilities for reproduction of the breed shall be performed in the following cases: (a) the breeding subject of aquaculture is tagged or marked in any other way that allows the exact identification thereof as aquaculture species; and (b) the origin of the aquaculture pedigree species has been documented, confirmed origin thereof. Transactions with aquaculture reproductive material (ovulated spawn, sperm) of pedigree aquaculture species shall be performed exclusively by the owners of rights to breeding achievements or organizations, pedigree stocks of which are registered in the state breeding register. Aquaculture species must be posted under constant veterinary supervision. Arrangements for prevention and liquidation of infectious and other diseases of aquaculture species shall be performed jointly by the management of fishfarming enterprise and regional veterinary service. Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service by imposing plant quarantine for aquaculture species can restrict land tenure for crop and plant cultivation and storage of some plant species.
