Abstract This Order, adopted by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, supplements Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of 9 March 2016 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/689 of 17 December 2019, and applies to bred pigs, including wild boar, and any crossing thereof. Articles 7 and 8 apply to ruminants, dogs, and cats. If there is a suspicion of Aujeszky's disease or if a veterinarian otherwise suspects the presence of Aujeszky's disease, that veterinarian shall immediately notify the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. When there is suspicion of or confirmed case of infection with Aujeszky's disease in a business, affected herds shall be subject to public supervision and to the restrictions set down in Regulation (EU) 2016/429 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/689. The Order prohibits vaccination against Aujeszky's disease. Other provisions concern the transport of swine from suspected and infected establishments; suspicion in other susceptible animal species than swines; and surveillance.
