Abstract

The Order sets regulations on taxation for the production and slaughtering of animals destined for human consumption. The fee (equivalent to DKK 30 for each animal) includes cattle slaughtered for private use. This fee also applies to export slaughterhouses, public slaughterhouses and cattle export abattoirs. Calves being slaughtered in private abattoirs shall be subject to payment of the same fees within 14 days. Violations shall be subject to fines unless a higher penalty is provided for in adherence to Chapter 5 of Act on Administration of the European Community regulations on the mechanisms of the Act on the administration of EU regulations of the Cooperative Agricultural Policy scheme financed by the EU Guarantee Fund.
