Abstract

The Order applies to the commercial road and railroad transport of food (listed under articles 17-18) which must occur in approved and labeled vehicles (in adherence to Chapter 2) and by equipment for road transport carrying a certificate of approval (ATP). The appendices of this document give detailed criteria norm for approval, methods and definition of foodstuff transport. Vehicles transporting food must consist of corrosion-resistant materials, which do not absorb liquid and that do not affect the transported foodstuff odour, taste, colour and texture. Inspection to ensure adherence with these regulations shall be undertaken by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and the Taxation authorities (SKAT). Penalties for non-compliance with this Order shall be subject to up to two years of imprisonment
