Abstract

The amendments made by these Regulations implement those provisions of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 356/92 and Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2568/91 (as amended by Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 1429/92, which introduced changes to the definitions of categories of olive oil contained in Regulation No. 136/66/EEC of the (as earlier amended) (reg.2(1)—(4)), and require that where any analysis of olive oil is made for the purposes of the 1987 Regulations the method, or methods, used shall be those prescribed by Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2568/91 (as amended) (reg. 2(5)).
