Abstract The aim of this Notification is to ensure that the production of meat is produced with the right technique and sanitary procedures. The Notification further defines the rules and procedures of the preparation, processing, packaging, conservation, storage, transportation and marketing of meat products. The food additives that may be used and veterinary medicine and pesticide residue limits in the products falling under this Notification’s mandate are determined by the Turkish Food Codex Regulation. The rules for hygiene are defined in Article 11 in addition to Chapter 7 of the Turkish Food Codex Regulation.
