The Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

With this Decree the amendments made to Directive 2001/22/EC as regards the sampling methods and the methods of analysis for the official control of the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury and 3-MCPD in foodstuffs are adopted and incorporated to the Greek legislative frame. Therefore, the sampling intended for the official control of the levels of lead, cadmium, mercury and 3-MCPD in foodstuffs shall be carried out in compliance with the methods described in Annex I hereto. Additionally, Annex II establishes the criteria to be followed in the sample preparation and analyses used for the official control of these substances in foodstuffs.
