The present Law enters into force on 1 January 2006.
Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Act of 4 October 2002 on population protection and civil protection. Article 1 establishes that within the framework of population protection and civil protection the present Law provides for the: a) division of responsibilities between the Canton, municipalities and partner organizations (Police, Fire Brigade, Health Service, technical facilities, civil protection); b) organization and financing; c) rights and obligations of interest parties. Special regulations in the decrees of the Canton are reserved for the partner organizations. The text consists of 32 articles divided into 6 Parts as following: General provisions (I); Population protection (II); Civil protection (III); Financing (IV); Responsibilities and administration of justice (V); Final provisions (VI).
