Abstract The present Law implements the Federal Act of 20 June 1986 on hunting and protection of wild mammals and birds. In particular, the purpose of the Law is to: a) protect, expand and improve the living space of wild mammals and birds; b) ensure site-specific and functional communities; c) protect wild fauna; d) use stock of wildlife; e) limit damage of wild fauna; f) train hunters and other personnel.
