Abstract

This Joint Decree validates the Regulation on Federal State Information System in the Field of Veterinary Medicine (FGIS "Vetis") with the view of ensuring traceability of commodities subject to inspection and supervision, issuance of veterinary accompanying documentation, issuance of permits for import and transit on the territory of the Russian Federation of commodities subject to inspection and supervision and registration of the results of veterinary and sanitary expertise, laboratory testing and sampling. Information system must ensure fulfilment of the following tasks in the field of veterinary: (a) improvement of food safety; (b) improvement of the quality of foodstuffs and feedstuffs; (c) improvement of the quality of veterinary drugs; (d) keeping electronic and veterinary certification; (e) data collection and reporting related to import to and transit on the territory of the Russian Federation of commodities subject to veterinary supervision; (f) data collection and reporting related to licensing of pharmaceutical activities related to manufacturing of veterinary drugs, registration of side effects of veterinary drugs, serious adverse reactions in the process of application of veterinary drugs; (g) data collection and reporting related to registered veterinary drugs, feed additives and feedstuffs containing GMO; and (h) data collection and reporting epizootic situation in the Russian Federation and foreign states.
