Abstract This Governmental Decree, with a view of ensuring safety of human life and health, and also preventing misleading of consumers, validates safety requirements for juices, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trade, recycling thereof, and also traceability and identification for compliance thereof with the established requirements. Trade of juices on the national territory shall require mandatory conformity compliance. It establishes the indicators of MRL in juices. The quantity of juice in juice-containing beverages shall not be less than 10%. To regulate the taste of juices and juice-containing beverages shall be allowed to use sugar, sucrose, dextrose, anhydrous, glucose with water content less than 2% separately or a mixture of them. The addition of concentrated natural volatile flavouring substances to freshly squeezed juices shall be prohibited. In the production of juice and juice-containing beverages for infant food shall be prohibited the use of sugar substitutes and flavourings, except for authorized food additives, contained in the Table 8. Juices containing pulp and juice products for young children should be homogenized. Identification of juices and juice-containing beverages shall be performed in the stages of their manufacturing, processing, storage, transportation and trade.
