Milk and dairy products can be released on market on condition of compliance thereof with the provisions of this Technical Regulation. The objects of technical regulation by this Technical Regulation shall be: (a) raw milk; (b) dairy products, including infant food; (c) processes of manufacturing, packaging, labelling, transportation, storage, trade and recycling of milk and dairy products; and (d) functional components required for manufacturing of milk-based products. Milk and dairy products shall be accompanied by veterinary certificate. Milk and dairy products circulating on the national territory before shell life expiry date must be safe for human consumption. Identification (traceability) of milk and dairy products shall be performed, upon submittal of the application by the producer, by state supervisory bodies and customs offices (for import-export operations). Unidentified milk and dairy products shall be subject to mandatory recycling. Packaging materials contacting with milk and dairy products must ensure safety of products and immutability of identification marks when handling milk and dairy products on the national territory during the shelf life.
