Abstract These requirements establish mandatory requirements for handling of animal by-products during storage, processing, transportation, sale and use of animal by-products in agricultural production. Storage, processing, handling and transportation of animal by-products should be carried out by the owners and transporters of animal by-products separately from domestic, industrial and mixed wastewater, including sewage from settlements. At the facility for keeping farm animals, owners of animal by-products should be equipped with a separate cleaning system for domestic, industrial and mixed wastewater, including sewage from settlements (in case of their receipt to the facility for keeping farm animals). Storage of raw, unprocessed animal by-products is allowed only on specially equipped facilities and (or) places intended for storage and (or) processing, handling of by-products of animal husbandry, including manure storages, dung storages. The storage of animal by-products should be carried out by owners of animal by-products in ways that do not allow pollution of the environment and components of the natural environment, including the ingress of polluting substances into the aquifer.
