Abstract

This Act lays down rules for the marking of ear of goats for the purpose of identification or recognition. The Permanent Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries shall be the registrar of ear-marks. This Act sets out provisions on the registration of ear-marks; application procedures for registration; transfer of any registered ear-mark in the register; conditions for cancellation of ear-marks; offences; powers of the registrar, inspector or any police officer; registered ear-mark as prima facie proof of ownership; notice and fees. The Minister may make regulations to carry out the objects and purposes of this Act.
