The Regulation specifies in details the rights and powers of inspectors and actions to be taken based on the inspections’ results. The regulation also provides for the issuance of Fish Processing Licence and of Fish Buyer’s Licence. The Regulation is completed by six schedules that define the construction, equipment and operating requirements for canneries, salted fish establishments, fresh and frozen fish processing establishments, establishment for storing frozen fish, establishment used for shucking shellfish, and sets requirements for boats used for collecting or transporting fish for processing.
