Abstract This law may be cited as the Food (Control and Sale) (Amendment) Law of 2003 and shall be read as one with the Food (Control and Sale) Laws of 1996 up to 2002 (No. 2) (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”). The principal Law and the present Law shall be read in conjunction and will be referred to as the Food (Control and Sale) Laws 1996-2003. The Law provides for certain amendments to the principal law, more specifically: in article 15 a new section (7) is added, establishing the administrative procedures for appeals against the sampling and analysis methods of foodstuffs; article 16A is added, establishing the powers of the Director of Medical and Public Health Services; article 23 is replaced by the text laid down in article 4 to this Law.
