Abstract

These Regulations prescribe standards for any poultry, i.e. any bird that is commonly used for food and poultry products. They shall apply to all poultry, poultry meat and poultry products which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe. No person shall sell, import for sale or manufacture for sale any poultry, poultry meat or poultry products other than in terms of these Regulations (reg. 2). The standards prescribed regard ingredients and use of additives and preservatives, treatment of food, intrinsic qualities and labelling. Regulation 4 prohibits use of exogenous oestrogenic substances and sale of products containing use of exogenous oestrogenic substances. Regulation. The same regulation defines adulterated poultry meat, poultry meat products or preparations thereof.(6 regulations)
