Fish and fish products shall not be processed, traded or marketed except in accordance with this Part and processing, trading and marketing of fish products shall comply with the Fish Processing, Trading and Marketing Regulations made under this Part. There is established the Samoa Seafood Standards Council. The Council shall assist the Samoan Seafood Industry and Government in policy formulation, the setting of industry standards, etc. and shall be the consultative forum between the Samoan Seafood Industry and the Government concerning the development, implementation and review food safety standards and protocols facilitate market access for Samoan fish and fish products.
