Abstract

These Regulations provide implementation of provisions of the Fish Protection Act by prohibiting commercial fishing or recreational fishing without a licence and by prescribing various other offences in relation to fisheries. They also concern the application for and the granting of commercial fishing licences and place restrictions on various types of fishing and on the importation of and dealing in specified fishing gear.
