Abstract These Regulations implement some provisions of the Act with respect to international trade in fisheries goods, registration of premises, and competent authorities. The supervision of importation of fish as defined by section 4 of the Act shall be carried out by the Central Food Office whereas exportation shall be under supervision of the Institution for Veterinary Drugs and Foodstuffs (sect. 1). The same institution shall notify to the Central Food Agency all specifications which shall be registered in the central register for premises and vessels in accordance with section 41 of the Act (sect. 2), and is appointed as the central authority as foreseen in the European Economic Area Agreement (sect. 3).
