Abstract The present Act is composed of nine Sections and one Annex. The Sections are: General provisions (sect. 1); Marketing of fertilizers (sect. 2); Application of fertilizers (sect. 3); Transport and storage of fertilizers (sect. 4); Agrochemical service for agriculture (sect. 5); Supervision and control concerning fertilizers and fertilizing (sect. 5a); Sanction fees (sect. 6); Penalty fees (sect. 7); Changes in valid provisions, transitional and final provisions (sect. 8). The Annex consists of 19 tables and defines the different types of fertilizers. The Act regulates matters concerning: placing on the market of fertilizers (not covered by European Union provisions); tasks of organs and organizational units concerning introduction of fertilizers into turnover based on European Union provisions; application of fertilizers; preventing danger for humans, animals and the environment, which may be caused as a result of transport, storage and application of fertilizers; agrochemical service for agriculture.
