Abstract The Act establishes conditions for introducing fertilizers into turnover. Fertilizers must: be created from mixing fertilizers types marked as European Union fertilizers; meet requirements sets out for fertilizer lime types for which contaminants do not exceed permitted values; be natural (excluding manure); fulfill veterinary requirements specified in European Union provisions on sanitary conditions for by-products of animal origin not for human consumption. Organic, organic-mineral and mineral fertilizers not marked as European Union fertilizers can be introduced into turnover upon permission by the Minister of Agriculture.
