Abstract

The purpose of these Regulations is to give legal effect to Commission Directive 92/39/EEC amending Directive 90/128/EEC relating to plastics materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs and also for the administration and enforcement of the combined Regulations. A person shall in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles use only those monomers and other starting substances listed in Annex II, Section A to Directive No. 90/128/EEC as amended by article 1 (2) of Commission Directive No. 92/39/EEC. A person shall not engage in trade in, or in use of, plastic materials and articles unless they comply with the provisions of this Regulation.
