A sanitary authority shall control the supply of water in its functional area, whereas the Environmental Protection Agency shall control water supplied by a sanitary authority and its monitoring activities as a supervisory authority. A supervisory authority may require remedial action by a water supplier in case the water supplied does not meet the microbiological or chemical parametric values as expressed in the Schedule to these Regulations. It may also issue directions or grant assistance to a water supplier.
