The amendment of regulation 3 concerns the prohibition to carry out alluvial mining on land near lakes or reservoirs. The amendment of regulation 5 concerns conditions regarding alluvial mining operations. Those conditions concern EIA for projects near watercourses and rehabilatation plans and EIA for rehabilitation of ex-mining areas.
