Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to introduce the Directive 2004/35/CE of the European Parliament and of the Council on environmental liability with regard to the prevention and remedying of environmental damage of 21 April 2004 into German legislation. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to competences in view of the Environment Damage Act of 10 May 2007 (BGBl. I p. 666) and the Legal Remedy Environment Act of 7 December 2006. The text consists of 4 articles.
