Abstract

These Regulations amend the Eggs (Marketing Standards) Regulations 1995 by providing for the enforcement and execution of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1511/96 amending Regulation (EEC) No. 1274/91 introducing detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1907/90 on certain marketing standards for eggs. Regulation (EC) No. 1511/96 is concerned with the grading of eggs by weight, the confidentiality of certain information supplied and the optional use of supplementary indications on egg packs regarding particular characteristics of the type of farming concerned.
