Entry into force notes

This Act enters into force the day after publication in the Official Gazette.

Abstract

This Act aims to establish a framework for the organic production of food and other products in agriculture and fisheries, to help strengthen the dissemination of these products ensuring consumer's health, environmental and animal welfare, and to preserve resources and trade in organic commodities. Authorization of organic products shall occur after inspection with the supervising of the Organic Food Council, nominated and established by the Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries for the observance and recommendations of this Order's regulations.
