Abstract

This Order, for purposes of article 4 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 extends the definition of “disease” in article 1(3) of the Law so as to include sheep and goat spongiform encephalopathy and applies article 8 of the Law to sheep and goat spongiform encephalopathy. Article 8 empowers the Minister to order slaughtering of diseased animals.
