Abstract This Decree concerns the temporary permit as foreseen in Commission Directive (EC) No. 194/97. It specifies in article 2 maximum levels of nitrate in spinach (5000 mg/kg), that are allowed provided that certain conditions are fulfilled. These conditions are to be established under the chapter called "good production practice" to be established by the Food Agency and the Agricultural Research Center.
