Abstract

This Decree of the Department of Fisheries and Coast Protection allows for the certification by Norwegian fish trade centers (as approved under Act No. 3 of 1951) of lots of fish caught in Norwegian waters and destined for exportation. The aim of the Decree is to contribute to safeguard that fish is not caught or traded in contravention of Norwegian legislation. The Decree provides rules for the handling of producer or exporter duties to submit declarations in respect to catch in Norwegian waters. Art. 6 – Norwegian vessels docking, landing or transshipping in a foreign port shall report to the relevant sales organization and must include information related to the vessel, port of call, time of arrival and data on catch, such as species, condition, weight and catch area.
