Abstract

This Decree shall apply to the construction, extension, modernization, classification, utilization, management and closing down of ports. It shall not apply to ports in use of the army, armed bodies and the police, to ferries, and to emergency ports. All the activities falling under this Decree must obtain the authorization of the Central Transport Inspectorate. The procedure of authorization is regulated in detail in Articles 3 to 10. Annexes 1 and 2 determine the content of the request for authorization and the instructions for planning. Annex 3 lists the authorities involved in the authorization procedure. The authority of navigation periodically controls the management of ports. Closing down of ports must be motivated and justified. Terms regarding the establishment and the use of ports are defined in Annex 4.
