Abstract

This Decree-Law establishes veterinary police entitled to carry out sanitary control on animal and aquaculture products imports. It consists of 10 articles and 8 annexes (approving the Council Directives No. 98/45/EC of 24 June and No. 97/79/EC of 18 December, regarding veterinary police). It regulates the sanitary measures to be applied in order to perform the aforementioned activity and specifies sanctions to be paid for illegal activity.
