Entry into force notes

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. This Regulation shall apply from 1 January 2021.

Abstract

This Regulation lays down some additional rules to the general production rules for operators set out in Chapter III of Regulation (EU) 2018/848, including precautionary measures to avoid the presence of non-authorised products and substances and measures to be taken in the event of the presence of non-authorised products or substances. Annex I sets out the uniform arrangements for the development and application of a national catalogue of measures, including a list of non-compliances, the classification of the non-compliances into three categories: minor, major and critical, and the measures corresponding to different categories of non-compliances. The competent authorities shall use the Organic Farming Information System and the templates set out in Annex II to this Regulation to exchange information with the Commission and other Member States.
