Abstract

This Circular has been adopted by the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies in order to lay down further guidelines and clarifications in respect of the implementation of Ministerial Decree of 30 August 2000. The latter has been enacted in compliance with Regulation 1760/2000/EC, which establishes the compulsory system for the identification and registration of bovine animals. This Circular deals particularly with the information to be indicated in the labels as regards the country in which the animal was fed, slaughtered and sliced and further mandatory indications referred to in Regulation 1760/2000/EC.
