Abstract These Regulations, which extend to Scotland only, amend the Cattle Database Regulations 1998 and the Cattle (Identification of Older Animals) (Scotland) Regulations 2001. They reduce from 7 days to 3 days the period within which notification of movements of cattle must be posted or made by electronic means by a keeper to the Scottish Ministers. This is in accordance with the requirements of the second indent of Article 7.1 of Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000 establishing a system for the identification and registration of bovine animals.
