Abstract

An Ordinance to govern the keeping of calves. It defines at the outset its scope of application. Animal holding places must comply with special requirements such as adequate temperature, space, level of noise, feeding, social contacts, etc. Article 4 contains special provisions for the keeping of calves up to two weeks, article 5 those for the keeping of calves from 2 to 8 weeks and articles 6 those from more than 8 weeks. Finally, the Ordinance establishes the penalties in case of violation and final and transitional provisions. The Ordinance consists of 14 articles.
