Abstract

Purpose of the present Act is the protection of plants and plant products from diseases and harmful agents within the Land of Burgenland. The protection of plants from damages inflicted by huntable animals is, however, not regulated by the present Act. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as “living plants”, “living parts of plants”, “plant products”, “harmful agents”, “protective measures for plants”. Purpose of the present Act is the protection of plants and plant products from diseases and harmful agents within the Land of Burgenland. The protection of plants from damages inflicted by huntable animals is, however, not regulated by the present Act. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as “living plants”, “living parts of plants”, “plant products”, “harmful agents”, “protective measures for plants”. The text – consisting of 21 articles – deals with the following aspects: purpose, use of pesticides, certification, access to information, transmission of data, survey, entry into force and repeal.
