Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Act, 1996, appoint the National Biosafety Committee as the National Focal Point on biosafety for purposes of the Cartegena Protocol on Biosafety, which is set out in the First Schedule. It defines functions, powers and duties of the Committee.
