Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Council Regulation (EC) No. 1/2005 of 22 December 2004 on the protection of animals during transport and related operations. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Transport in containers (2); Special provisions on the protection of livestock during inland transport (3); Special provisions on the protection of other animals (4); Transnational transport (5); Competence of authorities; penalties (6). Three Annexes are enclosed.
