Abstract An Ordinance to regulate the transportation of animals. Animals must be protected during transportation whatever means is used. It deals with issues such as fitness of animals for transportation, accompanying persons and documents, choice of travel route, available space, loading and unloading of animals. Part 5 deals specifically with transportation abroad and related documentation. The competent authority may at any time ensure the actual implementation of the Law. Finally, Part 6 sets out cases of violations; final provsions are contained in Part 7. The Ordinance consists of 45 articles divided into 7 Parts and 7 Annexes.
