Abstract

These Rules, made under section 20 of the Animal Diseases Act, specify inspection fees to be charged in respect of every head of cattle examined at any place notified in the Gazette as a place of quarantine. The Minister may, at any time, remit any such fees wholly or in part. The Rules also place restrictions on the movement of livestock or carcasses to and from such places and define the responsibility of the owner of animals for animals kept in quarantine.
