Abstract

Rules may be made under the Agricultural Export Produce Decree to subject produce to inspection, or inspection, grading or branding in accordance with such Rules. These Rules apply to cloves grown in Zanzibar. Persons wishing to export cloves shall make an application in Form No. 1 of the Schedule. Rule 6 specifies standards that cloves for export shall meet. Other provisions deal with handling of consignments inspected and packing and labelling. Certificates in Form No. 2 will be issued on demand for consignments that are inspected and graded for export.
