Abstract This Act provides for financial support to agricultural industries for the purpose of controlling diseases in livestock. The Act is divided into the following Parts: preliminary (Part 1); disease control services (Part 2); voluntary industry funding (Part 3); compulsory industry funding (Part 4); collection of industry levies (Part 5); general provisions relating to industry funds (Part 6); miscellaneous (Part 7). The Act is completed by two schedules, one on the constitution and procedure of industry advisory committees and one on saving, transitional and other provisions.
